ECU Production test is increasingly challenging. The more prevalent ECUs are, the more critical it is to test them, but also the more difficult this testing becomes as the functions they control are more advanced and the interconnected web of dependencies between ECUs in different vehicle domains grows more complex.
With stretching schedules earlier in the design process and cost pressure, we see suppliers struggle to deliver functional testers on time and within budget. There is more to test yet less time and resources to do so.
