Topic 1: Coding Challenge!
By: You

Conway's Game of Life. Create a LabVIEW program that implements Conway's Game of Life. It must be your code, but besides that you can use your own creativity to implement it how you want. See the Rules section in the Wikipedia article for the game description and guidelines.

Topic 2: Using Your cRIO as an Instrument
By: Tore Johnsen, Saint Bernard Engineering, Inc.

There are many options for interfacing to cRIO: Network shared variables, network streams, Web services, TCP/IP, UDP. One possibility that's often overlooked is programming the cRIO to act as an instrument and create a regular VISA instrument driver for the PC. In this presentation we'll discuss when the instrument driver approach is appropriate and demonstrate how you can implement robust communication between cRIO and PC.

During this meeting, you:
  • Enhance your core LabVIEW skills
  • Discuss the latest LabVIEW technologies
  • Meet with peers and share questions, examples, and challenges
