Topic: Implementing a Hardware Abstraction Layer for use in TestStand
Presented by: Derrick Bommarito, Senior Test Engineer, Good Automation
This presentation will be largely demo based as an architecture for integrating a HAL into TestStand scripting is discussed. Topics covered will include OOP design considerations for a HAL, customizing the default TestStand process model to automate initialization of hardware devices used by test methods, and using the factory pattern for loading and initializing devices from a configuration file. Audience participation and questions will be highly encouraged as this will be a large topic where more time can be spent on what is most interesting to the attendees.

- Discuss the latest LabVIEW technologies
- Meet with peers and share questions, examples, and challenges
