Enhance your NI LabVIEW development skills and network with other LabVIEW users in your area.
Topic 1: NIWeek Insights
Presented by: SIGMADESIGN

Did you attend NIWeek 2018? This year SIGMADESIGN sent four people to NI Week and gained lots of valuable insights. We will discuss some of the new hardware and software releases presented at NIWeek. In addition, we’ll discuss useful take aways collected from the technical sessions we attended. The goal is for the user group to collectively share their NIWeek experiences and extract the benefits of attending for both that attended and those who could not.

Topic 2: Fundamentals of Actor-Oriented Programming
Presented by: David Snyder

Actor-oriented programming (AOP) has been gaining popularity in the LabVIEW community since 2011. Come hear one of the pioneers of LabVIEW AOP explain the fundamentals so you can take advantage of this programming paradigm. Learn a bit about Actor Model theory. Peek inside actors and see what components are necessary to build your own. Discover the issues you should consider when combining actors to create complete systems.

During this meeting, you:
  • Enhance your core LabVIEW skills
  • Discuss the latest LabVIEW technologies
  • Meet with peers and share questions, examples, and challenges
